The KidsTown Playground, Dig In Café, Miniature Train, Community BBQs and all facilities, including the public toilets are closed until further notice as a COVID-19 precaution.

The COVID-19 outbreak is an unprecedented event in recent history. As part of the effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, we have temporarily closed the KidsTown facilities.

Evidence from around the world has shown that pre-emptive measures are extremely effective in containing the spread of the disease.

Greater Shepparton City Council will close the KidsTown Playground, Dig In CAFÉ, Miniature Train, BBQs, Public Toilets and all programs and events until further notice. This will take effect from 7pm tonight, Friday 20 August 2021.

We do know that PLAY and CONNECTION are fundamental to child development and we encourage you to keep playing with your kids. Please keep an eye on the KidsTown and Get Mooving Greater Shepparton website and social media (Facebook and Instagram) for regular updates.

This period of closure will be re-evaluated and assessed constantly to adapt to the evolving situation and any changes will be communicated on a regular basis.

Our main priority is the health and safety of our patrons, staff and vendors. We will remain ready to reopen as soon as it is advised.

We understand this is a very stressful and uncertain time and we want to encourage you to stay positive, remain calm and look after others.
